Of course the credit-crisis has hit us as well. Fortunately we have always been very economical.
We built up a reserve in the good years and therefore we have no problems at the moment. It is very important we have our regular donors. |

Peruvian staff member
Hello, My name is Luis González Ruiz de Castilla, I’m 47 years old, married with Jessica, we have a beautiful family with Jana my 22 years oldest daughter, and 2 children, a boy named Luis Hernán of 6 years old, and a baby girl named Julia of 9 months old. |
The familyhouse
In general the children are fine and most of them make good progress at school.
Juan Carlos is not in our house any longer, but we continuously follow him and he has made good progress.
At school they tell us that he takes more responsibility than before. I often see him and we don’t worry about him. He has made an important move in the right direction.

Cetpro
After the positive results we have attained at the Ministry of Education we have the official approval for the middle school of Cepro. This elevates the level and the certificates will be presented to the students on the last schoolday in December.
|
The daycentre
The children make good progress and they learn more and more. We have now started cookery-classes and the pupils learn to bake bread and biscuits. The food has considerably improved and at the moment there are about 130 girls and boys.

Medical and dental practise
We continue with all our programs.
In July beds will be bought for the adolescents who are running risks according to the program of the “healthy family”.
At school we help the pupils by giving them fluor-treatments, deparisitation and crio-therapy against warts.

Social activities:
the grandfather's and grandmother's day
The 7th of July we paid special attention to 300 grandfathers and grndmothers. It was a very special and emotional event. The grandparents joined in different games and they told stories and sang beautiful ancient songs. |

A well organised journey to our project
We succeeded in making contacts with a well-known travel-agency , Sapa Pana Travel, in Den Bosch. They have made up a fantastic trip which will show you the beauty of Peru. .
Travel report: Passion and conviction within the red gate
Marieke ( a volunteer) and her friend Tom visited the project in December 2008. In this newsletter a short report of their impression of the Kuychi foundation.
A schoolproject: sponsor-skating-tour
The primary school The Meent in Waalre has been a sponsor for almost two years. This year they decided to collect money by organising a sponsor-skating-tour. At the end of 2008 and the beginning of 2009 it was really wintry weather.
The gathering of the volunteers
On the 18th of June we had our yearly meeting at the hospitable Reijers family’s house. At the moment 25 enthusiastic volunteers work by themselves or together and they try to do their bit for the development of the Kuychi foundation. |

For the lucky people and those who can decide quickly we offer our last works of art during the Kuychi information afternoon on the 22nd of November.
